I also put the shaded top glass in my truck, but I'm only 5' 6" with short legs. It was cheaper. It appears your band goes about 1" lower than mine which could be quite significant.

Here's a picture of my original foam and upholstery seats for comparison. Only thing done to them was to replace some of the bolster vinyl.
