Upper control arm spacers

I recently rebuilt an '85 crossmember to put on my '64.

These 4 spacers were behind the upper control arms and looked to be factory installed. 2 are thicker and I'm wondering how these should be reinstalled on the bolts. Any help appreciated.

Re: Upper control arm spacers

The thicker ones go on the aft bolts and the flat surface goes outboard. Mine is not apart but appears that the rounded surface may fit into a depression on the crossmember then adjustment shims onto the flat surface. Hope this helps.

Re: Upper control arm spacers

Thanks for the info. These are flat on both sides, I noticed the ones that came off the 64 have a dished spacer that pivots on a crowned spacer.

These trucks look to have a crowned rectangular washer that was over these flat ones.

Re: Upper control arm spacers

These slide on first, then the alignment shims, then the rectangle spacers that fit into the control arm shaft. The thick one goes to the rear. I have my frame sitting bare, so I just ran out and snapped a pic for you. Hope this helps.

Thanks very much Jayson! Exactly the info needed to finish putting this crossmember together.
