Several months ago I bought a 1968 chevy C10 stepside. The po knew little about
the truck, but I can tell it has been lowered. As much as I can tell the rear was lowered 3" with lowering springs & the front was lowered a unknown amount by using clamps to compress the springs. The truck sits pretty much level now. I want to remove the spring clamps & lower the front in a acceptable manner. Now for the questions..... The truck has disc brakes on the front...how can I tell if they are the 71-72 type or something else? They have a 5x5 bolt pattern. What drop spindles are recommended & are there any difference between brands? Do I also need lowering springs also? The front wheels are 18x8 with 4.5" bs & 255/45-18" tires. There is 4" between the tire & fender. all thoughts will be greatly appreciated!!! Don Last edited by weldvair@embarqmail.; 01-23-2016 at 06:25 PM. |
