Want to buy cast iron bell housing for SM465 from 1968 to 1972 Chevy truck.

I pulled the 3 speed out of my truck and have all the leftovers, including a good bell housing. You will have to check what will interchange between the factory 3 speed and 4 speed.

Will sell it all CHEAP!!!

I have one also. Get me a zip and I will get you a shipped price. I am about 4.5 hrs North of Louisville, but may be able to meet in Indianapolis, I have relatives there. If you get up that way could save on shipping. Let me know.

Thanks,
Mark

BBB!

The 3 speed bell housing looks different, however, still checking on clutch fork and other parts. Interested in clutch fork if same. Will get back to you on that.

Thanks,
Les

Mark,

Interested in your bell housing too, as I will need two of them. Do still have your clutch fork and throw out bearing, and any clutch linkage/ pivots not worn too much.

Thanks,
Les

Les,

I will check to see what I have left. I sold the z-bar, but may still have the fork.

Thanks,
Mark

Re: WTB: Bell Housing SM465 '68 to'72 Cast Iron

Michael,

I think they are different, from what I have read. Not sure of all the differences, however, one is the input pilot bearing retainer on a SM465 transmission is a larger diameter, therefor, the opening on bell housing is larger, then earlier ones, it is 5.125" diameter.
From previous post by CaptainFab, '68 to '72 trucks..... have the cast iron bell housing for the SM465 transmission. After '72, the bell housing were made of aluminum.

Les,

I have the fork, adjustment rod, and boot as well as the bell housing. I can go $65 shipped for everything. I will get you some pics as soon as I get the housing cleaned.

Thanks,
Mark

Here are pics of the bell housing and clutch linkage parts that I have left. The boot is probably not worth using. Let me know.

Thanks,
Mark
