WTB: 650 or 750 spreadbore Holley

Anyone have a used 650 or 750 spreadbore (pattern like a q-jet) Holley kicking around that they would want to part with? I would prefer an electric choke model. If it needs rebuilding, that's fine, as long as the throttle shafts are tight. Respond here in the thread or PM me.

Hey Mark, I believe I have what Your lookin for, but I'm 2-3 weeks away from spring cleaning My "pack-rat" pile. If You don't find one by then shoot Me a reminder & I'll do My best to fix You up.
~I use to carry the carb as a back-up for racing, I used it once a couple of years ago & it performed well except for a bleeding needle & seat. As I remember, it looked like new & had electric choke. It was hauled around alot & has sat towel wrapped in a truck cab for a couple of years so I would need to test & inspect it before entering into a transaction,, not sure of cfm off hand.

ps. if $$ is no object, I'll have it on Your porch this weekend in like-new cond. Hehehe

You looking for square bore? I've got square bore holley with mechanical secondaries and electic choke that was on my Blazer when I bought it.

I was really looking for something spreadbore, as their fuel economy is notably better than a square bore carb. PM me with details ($$, condition).

My guess is you're not going to want this. I didn't remember correctly -- it's an Edelbrock 1411. That makes it 750 CFM, tuned for small big-blocks.

The guy I bought the truck from was an idiot. He had this on a 350. My guess is that it's fairly new -- all the shafts feel nice and tight. There doesn't appear to be any shellacing in the bores, but there is some soot on the tops of the butterflys and around where they seal. The exterior condition is dirty, but I think it would clean up nicely.

Also I notice as I clean up the top of it a bit, it's stamped "REMAN." That would mean it was sold as Edelbrock part number 9913 after being remanufactured at the factory.

So, it's not a Holley, it's not a spreadbore, but it's got an electric choke!! If you want it, I'd let it go for $100, you pay shipping.

I don't know how to tell the differance between a spread and a square but I know what i havw is a double pump holley. If you are interested PM me and I'll get you some pics. Oh and it is a E choke.

Thanks for looking, Brian, but you're right. I've run the Edelbrock's a time or two and while they're simplistic enough, I really don't care for them. Again, thanks for looking. I appreciate it.
