New toy

I'm apparently going to jump back and forth on forums. I picked up this 58 Apache today.

Re: New toy

Congrats great looking truck. My neighbor has it's twin down the street from me sitting in his driveway for the past 10 years. About every 6 months I offer to buy it. He always says no I 'm getting ready to restore it.

Re: New toy

Looks like you got a solid truck. I am currently working on a 58 also and I am jumping back and forth on forums. The 47-59 guys are helpful also and helped me on many occasions. Check out my 58 build when you get a chance. Are you planning on keeping the Six?

Re: New toy

I have always loved the look of those trucks. Maybe I'm late to the game or way off, but how would the bed off that truck match up with the 60-66 body lines?

Thanks guys, I'm pretty stoked. Barnfind, cool build man, I'll look for you on that forum. I'm sure I'll have questions you can help with. Spent yesterday cleaning it up and fixing the 3 on the tree linkage. The motor runs like a sewing machine, so I'll keep in for now. This truck sat from the 70's gas crisis till 2010. The original owner parked it in the 70's, when he past away he left it to his daughter in 1995, she stored it until 2010 & decided to fix it up but I think it was too much of a project for her. Odometer says 29000, could be 129000 or 229000 but the engine bay and motor are clean.

It looks like an avo hauler! I'll probably start a build thread, and see if I can figure out how to post a link.

Tj, thats good to hear. I just ran it around the block for the first time and its whistling around 2000rpm(I'm guessing), no air filter on it, I have to find one, but you ever have that on your 6's?
