new from France

Hi !
i'm french, and i'm the (new) happy owner of a nice '70 C10, fleetside, rebuilt with a 350 SB, TH 400.
there is some perf parts, 600 cfm holley carb, edelbrock intake manifold, full line magnaflow exhaust... 20' rims and air ride rear shock absorbers.
it looks pretty good, just needs a new roof paint and some little things to fix. This is my third US classic car (a 72 monte carlo and a 69 mustang), and i also owned 5 harleys, so i'm a real fan of american steel !
let me tell you that my neighbours think i'm an ET when i drive my toys, over here cars are small and 90% with small diesel engine (because of the cost of unleaded gas here, about 5 bucks/gall)
Otherwise, i'm 54, married and father of 2 tall guys (30 and 22) and i work in a paper mill, in the middle of France
i'll send pics as soon as the weather let me drive, it's winter here and roads are icy.
and excuse me for my bad english !

Re: new from France

bright sunny winter day in auvergne today ! Little trip with my wyfe and our chevy, close to the "la chaise dieu" village (you can translate by "god's chair"), a nice place from middle ages in our mountains you can see behind

and the C10 from the other side.

Re: new from France

Thank you !
we were not very far from you 2 years ago, we traveled the historic route 66. The trip made us driving across Missouri ( St Louis, Rolla, Lebanon, Springfield, and so on). We met very kind people and are dreaming of a new trip in the USA next year !
