gas guage
got power at gauge still not working any suggestions

Make sure you have a good ground. The stud that does not mount to the circuit card should be grounded to the gauge cluster. I would try and run a wire from that stud to a good gound elsewhere, since the gauge cluster doesn't always ground too good.

Check the ground on the gauge, also check the wire going from the sending unit. If you have a meter, check it for continuity. I have a new gauge if you need one also. Mine have all been tested and are known to work. If you check from the sending unit wire to ground, you should have between 0 and 100 ohms depending on how much gas you have in the tank. If you don't, then your sending unit could be bad. Take it out and check to see if the float has filled with gas and is sitting at the bottom.
