Thumbs up 72 For Sale in DFW w/parts truck

1972 Custom/10 FOR SALE $2700 obo

What I'm selling is a 1972 Custom 10 with a 350 and 350auto, Power Steering, Power Brakes, Air Conditioning. LWB. Rally Wheels 2-Tone Blue with White Roof. Has upper and lower trim. Rust holes in Cab Corners but rockers are not that bad(Drivers side excellent). The Kick panels both have rust holes in them. There is a picture of both cab corners and rockers. The drivers fender doesn't have rust and the battery tray and pass inner fender is in good shape too. Windshield is cracked and the Transmission needs rebuild. It chatters in reverse but the truck runs and drives fine. (I was going to swap the tranny out of the parts truck but haven't had time.) The inside of the bed is suprisingly straight. One of the main reasons I am getting rid of this truck is becuse I haven't had time to drive it and it is starting to rust worse from just sitting. I bought it from the 2nd owner and he aparently never cleaned it out. I pulled out the carpet and all of the sound deadening because there was about 2 inches of dirt in the drivers side(hay in the pass side) that was just holding water because I was letting it sit. Air conditioning compresser and brackets are gone(but the parts truck has them) the Heater core is bad and bypassed(once again the parts truck one is probalby good or they are cheap enough to get new). Truck runs and drives nice. I have driven it ocassionally and drove it about 40 miles home when I bought it.

You also get a parts truck. It is also a Cheyenne 10 ,350, 350auto, PS,PB,AC. Was a LWB. Someone cut the frame down to SWB...Looks to be a decent job. The driveshaft and everything is connected but it has no BED. Being a 72 it has a 5lug front and Rear End(dont know what ratio). I would not call any of the sheet metal on the truck good. Except for the Passengers door and maybe the drivers door. It's got a nice 4 core radiator. I was told this truck ran and had been driven since being shortened.(only around the pasture, since it has no bed). I tried to start it once but the wiring harness is such a piece of crap I gave up.

I have some extra parts that go with the deal. Extra Gauge cluster, nice Original Black Dash Pad(no cracks). Some weatherstripping and door bumpers. 5 Extra steel wheels and Good Tires. I have the title to BOTH trucks. The blue one is registered in my name and I thought the registration was current but I discovered that it expired in January 2004. The inspection is good till May 2005. I think I have the protectoplate to both of them too.

See a good overall view of the whole blue truck at this link

Yep it's $2700 for it all....

The nice thing about the parts truck is that it has just about everything you might want for the blue truck. I started to pull out the dash to put in the blue truck. That's why the windshield is out.

All the engine accessories and brackets are complete on the parts truck. The only thing I see missing is the tins that go on the manifold and up to the air cleaner..

It's got tons of good parts left over to sell after you pull eveything you would want for the other truck... Automatic column. AC Parts, 5 lug front and rear...The seat in the parts truck actually looks a little better than the one in the blue truck. But it's that tan color(and very dirty). Part

A little more about the blue truck. The 2nd owner had a shortblock installed. I don't think the heads were touched. I have no idea how many miles ago. The reason the blue truck has some green interior pieces is becaus the 2nd owner had a Green C20 that got wrecked sometime in the late 70's and the interior was better so he swapped some of the parts. He was able to dig up one of the old blue visors that came with the truck but nothing else. I bought a set of blue visors on ebay that will go with the trucks. I suspect the original seat may have still been in his barn too but he wasn't interested in looking.

Any interest in selling just the parts truck? If so, how much? I live about an hour and a half from McKinney. Thanks.

I would rather not sell just the parts truck. But what parts were you interested in from it?

We might could work something out on part of it. I would like to keep some of the parts for the Blue Truck...

Thanks
Jason

I have a 71 SWB project and am needing complete engine, accessories,Power brake booster, AC box, and related underhood components etc. etc. Is the engine original in the parts truck and what shape is it in?
Also, I would be interested in your black dash pad if it is is good shape.
Prices and availability??
Thanks.
