Question 92 S10 -> 65 c10

CL ad just popped on a great deal on a 92 s10 without engine or tranny. I know you can grab suspension/brakes off of a 73-87 but can't seem to find what is different about the early 90s stuff. Anyone know if the stuff from the 92 would be usable on my 65?

Re: 92 S10 -> 65 c10

Well none of the S10 stuff ever fit. The 73 to 87 C10 stuff will bolt in. So the S10 is not a source for parts.

Re: 92 S10 -> 65 c10

I have to agree w/ PGSigns. S10 pickups are a much smaller geometry with shorter wheel base (and narrower). They are also much lighter duty. While there are a number of folks using S10 complete chassis as a base for street rods, I can't imagine using anything from one in a full sized half ton truck, with the exception of the Borg Warner T5 transmission (if it has one).

Ok, thanks. I saw mentions of S10 swaps on a few forums but they all were cab swaps for racing and whatnot, that must be about all people do.
