Title service

Anyone know of or have used a title service? I have a 68 truck that came from out of state, I bought it through a customer that wasn't as diligent [as he should have been]about checking stuff out before buying it for me. I got the truck and it is only a bill of sale and my revenue office says it is a no go that I'll have to go the bonded title route. I know there has to be something else. Jim

In Arizona we can file for title as "a towing company". Same as if a store owner had a car abandoned on his property and called to have it towed away. The towing company only has a certain amount of days to file for title in order to give the "legal owners" or (last known registered owner) time to claim their vehicle before storage fees add up.
Anyhow, the downside is you could have someone pipe up and say "That's mine and I want it back". Pay the tow and few days storage and bye bye truck. A little risk but quick.

Re: Title service

Find a board member here that lives in state that will issue a title on a bill of sell. Once they get a title they sell you your truck back for $1. A friend of mine has done this a few times on some old Harleys. I think the other guy is in Alabama but not sure.
