Power steering Install in My 68 C10

I finally got done converting my truck to power steering this past Sunday. Took it for a quick spin around the block and everything seemed fine. I noticed that I needed to add more power steering fluid after I drove it. So today I added more and went to drive a bit and now I dont have power steering, wheel is hard to turn..What gives?

Re: Power steering Install in My 68 C10

I recently did a Power Steering upgrade on my 69 C10. I found there was a ridiculous amount of air in the system. With the truck running, gently turn the steering wheel from stop to stop while the truck is on jack stands. Don't forget to check the fluid level during the process. I was told having the wheels off the ground helps with air removal, also i was told to not hold the wheel at the stop in either direction.

Good Luck!
