Question about where to get Upholstery spring

Can anyone tell me where I might locate an upholstery spring for my 1967 Chev-c10 bench seat?
I ordered an upholstery cover for it and have taken off the old (I'm thinking original) cover and saw that one of my springs is broken. I included some pictures to show where it was located, as well as a picture of the spring. I'm thinking that part of the spring is missing. (maybe one square 'loop'...Hope that makes sense.)
It's under the left edge of the drivers side seat and probably gets compressed every time you get in or out, so it makes sense that it was the first to give out.

I'm guessing an upholstery shop might have 'generic' springs like this that could be cut down, but thought someone might know of a 'go to' place to get the exact piece.

All help appreciated!

I have a friend re-upholster some of my chevy bench seats, there are always broken or missing springs in these old trucks, I go to pick n pull and get springs from old seats for him to repair these old seats,

Re: Question about where to get Upholstery spring

Thanks for the bump & suggestion to hit the wrecking yard. On my way out to the wrecking yard, I stopped by an upholstery shop & he fixed me up with a spring that I can modify to work. The upholstery guy suggested I use the original spring off of my passenger side on the driver side and use the newer but modified spring on the passenger side.
Can't wait to get my new seat cover installed.
Thanks for the help!

Re: Question about where to get Upholstery spring

Sounds like you've got it this time - but for others who search this topic later I wanted to add to this thread that if anyone is considering making a special trip to the wrecking yards looking for a specific seat spring I believe it is quicker to just bend one out of straight spring stock. All you need is a bench vise and a very simple homemade tool - with a little practice it is a ten minute task.

I posted the links before to the bending tool plan and someone else's video using one or a similar one anyway.

The links are in post #5 in this thread:

Re: Question about where to get Upholstery spring

Thanks for the info and info on the bending tool. Those tools look like they will do a lot nicer job than I did with my channel locks and vice grips, but here they are. The black spring was the spring that I moved over from the passenger side and the silver colored spring was the one I modified and put on the passenger side. It didn't look the greatest, but seems sturdy and should work.
As always, Thanks for the helpful suggestions!
