behind seat sub box mouting ideas needed

I,m wanting to try and build a full length speaker and amp box behind the seat of a 78 truck but was wondering how to go about mounting it behind the seat without drilling a bunch of holes in the cab for screws.Any other suggestions would be nice,is my first attempt at this.

I am doing the same thing in my '68. My truck had the tank behind the seat so now I have a bunch of threaded places where my tank was bolted, I am going to use those. Same thing on the bottom side. Look in the pic, when I put the top and front on the box, I was going to screw "L" brackets to the top of the box and to the threaded bosses.

speakers behind the seat are usually marginal in sound, so proceed with caution

you'll need to fasten anything down, so plan on a few holes in the floor
i made a fiberglass enclosure to hold 2 amps, one 10'' sub and my battery behind the seat of my 58 truk

Here's one I just built for my 84 Sierra. I kept the screw holes to a minimum by making the enclosure a tight fight. The corner boxes only have one screw holding them in place. I used a long screw and drilled down at an angle to force the enclosure tightly in the corner. I used the same principal with the storage box. It has one screw in each corner and its extremely tight.

Unfortunately the P/O drilled a row of holes to mount a tool pouch above the enclosure I built. I used some button head screws to fill the holes, then painted them white to match the cab.

I used the old gas tank mounts for mine. I also bought the cab corner mounts too!
