Vent Windows
I have a very nice set of vent windows. I removed these from my 86 Chevy C10. I'm in the process of restoring my truck, so I installed a set of fully restored vent windows in place the place of mine. This set would be great as is or as a set to be fully restored from Precision, which is who did my new set. The vents are fully functional. I did clean them up the best I could and added some rubber conditioner to keep the rubber from drying out while they were in storage. I was waiting to see what my new windows looked like installed before parting with this set. The glass has aftermarket tint, which can be easily removed, if you want. One latch is a little loose, but it still functions and they close up tight. I just never had them open, so I only noticed the latch being loose while cleaning them up. Very minor pitting on the latches, inside & out!!!! These parts are 30 yrs old, so they are not PERFECT, but they are in good condition. The rubber does have some very small tears, but overall in good condition. Springs are not rusty!!!
This set is probably one of the nicer that I have seen, well other than the restored ones I just received. Look at the photos closely and make sure that you really want these before purchase. I will only only accept a return, if they are shipped backed in the original box and packing they come to you in. And the return shipping will be your responsibility. These are listed on Ebay also. $150 +actually shipping. PayPal only. |

Re: Vent Windows
It's the glass frame (the part that touches the glass) that always rust out.Vent must be open to see this.especially inside bottom.

Re: Vent Windows
Here's a photo of the frame. They are not rusted, but the rubber seems dry and looks a bit cruddy. It still seals the glass to the frame tight.
