Trailing arm bushings 71 SWB
So I've used the method of removing old crusty bushings out of my trail arms. My dilemma is, once I insert the new energy suspension poly bushing in, the second piece (smaller poly ring) doesn't want to stay put. Is it necessary to use the whole kit or can I just insert the medal sleeve in the larger bushing and install? It appears that the bushing is tapered and the medal insert expands it and keeps it in tight.

Re: Trailing arm bushings 71 SWB
Need to use it all. It get sandwitched between the mount to hold it all tight. A little grease will hold it where it needs to go as you put it back on the truck.

Re: Trailing arm bushings 71 SWB
Before bolting the arms up I put the energy suspension bushings in the freezer for an hour then I greased them up and they slid right into place, I pushed the ring on the other side and everything stayed right where it was supposed to until I bolted in place.
