the tires on my '71 c10 are 11.5 inches wide but they stick out a little bit but i think you could get a different backspacing and make them fit inside the fenders. i got my entire used set of ultra's with good tires for $300 so i'm not complaining

I have a set of 315/60/15 on this truck, these fit great with a stock rally wheel(15x8 with a 4inch offset),I am in the process of lowering the truck right now so it will look 100% better then it is done, but anyway with a 8 inch 4 inch offset a 315 will work with no clearance problems,I will post a picture in a day or to,so you can see the clearance I have with the 315s,they fit perfect.

SEVEND2 - do you have a pic of the 295/50s on the 8" rim? I've been trying to decide on tire sizes as well.
Mike

i don`t have it done yet but after talking to another board member, i`m running a 15x12 wheel with 7.5" offset. the tires will be either a 29x15.5 or a 31x16.5 mickey thompson sportman pro. i was told they will fit with the stock rearend but i will have to mini tub the bed to the framerails.

I used to run a 10" wheel with a 5" offset with a 295 50d 15 tire. My tires tucked and never hit. I still had room.

I run a 295/50/15 on my 65 15x10 with 4 1/2 back space. The only clearance prob I have is with the inside fender lip.

71 Rat I am keeping my trailing arms just going to lose the coil springs and shocks for the coilovers. We are going to drop the rear some also to make it level with the new drop on the front I'll get from the djm tubular control arms! I am puting on centerline telstar wheels 15x7 front and 15x10 rear!
