Thanks for the compliments Rich! You have a great blazer yourself! The bed rails are made from a fiberglass type plank. Essentially it's synthetic wood, I ran it through a table saw to get the width I was wanting. I then put a 45 degree bevel on the outward facing side. I installed threaded nuts in the plank on the underside. A lot of sanding, priming and base coat followed by clear. They also have a layer of topper tape under them to protect the bed sides. They are bolted on from underneath using the factory holes. I never put the top on but they are easy to remove. I can't wait to get the ls swap completed and get it back on the road!

It now has 4 wheel disc brakes, wheels are Showwheel streeters 18x8 front 20x10 rear. It now painted Chevy victory red. Side marker lights shaved, rear roll pan installed and fuel filler relocated. The bed and floor pans were stripped and coated with POR paint and spray on bed liner before installing the interior. Tan leather interior, front seats are from a 06 impala, factory rear seat custom lowered brackets. I made the door panels and rear bed panels. Did my own french seam dash but I sent the console off to Conner Sweet (member) and it looks awesome!! Custom autosound stereo with kenwood speakers and a small amp. Still have a few minor things to do but I was able to get out to a few late summer shows and roll around with kids. Considering an LS2 and maybe air ride????? Good afternoon, I really dig your Blazer. I have a 71 also and I could use some help.
I want to use the same wheel combo with out having to tub it.
Would you be so kind as to give me the wheel size, back spacing front and back and tire sizes? I know its a pain but im hoping you have the info already, it would sure halp me out, Thanks a bunch. I love the way your sits so I would like to replicate it wheel wise.

Thanks! It in no way compares to yours though! I have been inspired every time I've seen yours. I'm in the middle of an LS swap, hopefully I will get it back on the road soon.

I had a lot of help from ATP. He did a lot of it. I finally finished it, sold it2 years ago. Looked and looked for 1 as nice but could not find 1. I drive the guy crazy that bought from me and he finally sold it back to me.

Update 2015, it now has a fully rebuilt 2004 Z06 LS6 5.7 engine and 4l60e trans. Drives great!

Based on your Instagram weve been at the same places and probably crossed paths but didn't know it.......Love the 60-66 trucks by the way! Getting ready to start the next one (square body truck). Thanks, it's pretty solid overall, couldn't pass it up for $425 (and another $300) to get it shipped here. The plan is to drop in a LS 4.8 that I picked up a while back, added a mild cam. As of now I'm planning on a Scott's hot rod IFS and some other suspension mods, wheels and eventually body, paint and interior. Trying to get one of my sons interested in street rods.....
