Any signs an Electric fuel pump is going bad?

The previous owner of my truck installed a Holley Red electric fuel pump, and I was wondering if there are any warning signs I can be aware of that this thing is going to quit on me?

I can hear the pump working when I'm driving, but every once in awhile I can hear it "bogging", like it stops for a split-second then starts going again. I guess that should be a sign to replace it huh?

Anyhow I wanted to hear any thoughts from you guys...

I'm on my 6th electric pump, the first sign mine were going downhill was when the truck would bog down accelerating from a stop. Within a day or two the pump was shot.
