It would be nice to find the whole setup minus the drums, because I'm starting fresh with only new drums, shoes and the adjuster kits. I'm sure there's some hard parts you can't get anymore so it'd be nice to get those all at once.

I have some rear backing plates but don't know if they came off of a 12 bolt rear axle or not. I got them with a bunch of parts I bought recently. If you think you can identify them I can get some photos for you. Thanks, Jay

Sure can. I think even the danas would share the same housing and brakes. Can I see a picture of them?

Sure will get you a couple of pictures in the next day or so. I will just plug them into this posting - think that will be easiest to do. Jay

10 bolt truck axles thru 1987 use the same backing plates for the 2" wide drum brakes. those might be easier to find...

I've rebuilt my drums completely, including wheel cylinders, rubber plugs, etc and resurfacing the shoe pads. My plan is to run them for rearend break-in and when switching gear oil, Im coverting to disc. Idk what your timeline is but I can send you the entire assemblies when I take them off. They are coated with alkyd primer on the inside and topcoated with Hammered on the outside.

I think if I remove the brake shoes the backing plates will fit in a 'ship anything that fits in this box' from the USPS for 13 - 15 dollars. If you want the brake shoes and all shipping will, of course, be higher. Would like to get $20 each for plates. Jay

Jay, I just shipped a set of 2 3/4" plates with shoes, I had to remove on set of shoes to get them to fit in a Large flat rate USPS box for $17.90, the 2" set may fit with both sets of shoes...That's a good price, $40 plus shipping is not bad.

Hope not priced out of reason. I wanted to get something for my time, but not hold gun to anyone's head.

Jay, I'll take them. I've got replacement shoes, so it's no problem to remove them. The most important part to me is the backing plates and all the hardware, I've got everything else to rebuild them. Can you PM me your paypal?
