I have to agree, nice truck and it's priced at reasonable price. Someone here needs to buy it.

I called the seller and turns out he already sold it and it's back for sale at $4400 on Craigslist. I called the new owner and he said that the old owner just hasn't taken the add down yet

Rockers are very bad and floor and doors have medium amounts

Re: Craigslist Find

And if you look at the price from the old ad, to the new ad, the price went up double!!!
I hate it when someone has no intension of ever doing anything with the truck, just making money as fast as they can. That's the trouble with this hobby, too many people looking to make a fast buck, I sell parts on here I think at a very reasonable price, not trying to get rich, just make a little something and move parts.

Those are housecar plates probably had a camper on it. The CHP will pull it over if they see it on the road without the camper. I have the same plates on mine and have been to court twice over it because the CHP doesn't think my bed cover is a camper. I now carry a copy of the judgement in the truck.

Wow you are lucky you don't have too pay commercial registration for sure it's nearly impossible to get non commercial played even with a camper let alone in your case keep them

Re: Craigslist Find

The Portland Oregon truck is on e-bay, $3700 or offer, on the local craigslist it's at $4400. Sounds like a scam to me.

Sounds like he just watched Barrett Jackson, is a curber who flips cars next day after jumping on the bandwagon & thinking he got a killer deal when in reality for this area he just paid market value or more lol

The Peoples Republik of Kalifornia.......

It's a beautiful place (overall) and has unbeatable weather. But, the politicians have burdened all of us with crazy regulations and taxes. If not for family and current work situation I'd be gone. Most of the people I know all say they are bolting when they retire.

So this is my truck, a friend at work had posted it here after I listed it on craigslist. I have spent over $18k in stuff I put on this truck most of it going toward the new engine, trans and AC system. I have also redone the brakes steering and all the rubber bushings in the suspension and body mounts. I probably have receipts for at least $17k of what I spent but after a while I stopped wanting to know how much I was spending. This truck is brand new mechanically speaking but as someone pointed out it does need body work and paint if you want it to be more than just a driver.

To be completely transparent I listed it on craigslist at a high price not really knowing how much it is worth, there just aren't a lot of C20s out there that I have seen for sale. I know I have way more in it than I will ever get out of it but I'm trying to not completely loose my shirt either.

I would like to at least get out of it what I put into the power train. That's why I listed it high and I have been stepping the price down waiting to see if I get any offers on it. I figure you can always negotiate down but you can't go back up in asking price.

By the way I have it listed at $12k now and I am still looking for offers.

Re: Craigslist Find

Definitely doesn't look like you cheaped out on anything Hansen. Looks like you put the best of parts on your truck.

Those plates were on it when I got it and I never really thought about it. I frequently use the truck to haul two quads up to Gorman from LA and have never had an issue with CHP and they are typically all over that stretch of the 5. I guess I have been lucky.

Thanks, I did go all out with the intent of keeping it but plans changed. My two boys are really into off roading so we are now looking for an old Jeep for our next project.
