Where should I buy a 4L85E

Do any board vendors happen to be transmission rebuilders?

There are a couple of eBay, and I'll likely go that way, but if there's someone on board here, always prefer to deal that way.

Or, if you have recommendations for a shop that is well-known for building them and shipping them, please let me know.

Looks like going rates are around $1100 plus core plus shipping, or $1300 plus core delivered, and cores look to be about $200 for 2WD.
