What the best engine cleaner for a show engine?

Our 69C10 truck that we show and drive needs a good cleaning but it has a fair
amount of chrome and polished aluminum on it, I cant use normal degreaser it dulls the aluminum it has a little road grime and a slight amount of oil on painted parts as well. I would like to be able to spray a cleaner and hose it off without having to polish all the parts again.

Thanks

I do know this, Purple Power available in most auto parts stores will eat rubber. That to me would mean it has an acid in it. I would go with hot water through a pressure washer to be on the safe side.

If you have a well, watch out for the water softener leaving salts on your rig.

IF you constanlty like to clean the engine you can have your chrome powder coated in clean and can use any cleaner you want on it without any issues. If you leave it natural elbow grease is about all you can use.
