LostMy65 - thank you!! I had not seen that post before. What I got from it is that it is totally possible because my 12 bolt housing is no different than any other 12 bolt housing, I just need to make sure I purchase the correct internals so that it accepts the 30 spline axles I want to purchase from Early Classic.

That is correct. Aside from the width increase in late '70 the truck 12 bolt parts are all pretty much interchangeable from '64-'82. One thing I would do is verify the axle/wheel bearing fitment in your housing.

How about you get a factory 17 spline posi center section and have your axles drilled five on five save you a lot of money . I do have a friend that has a 17 spline posi unit but I don't no what gear is on it I can check if you want me to good luck
