Removing switches

Got my 62 cab stripped and ready for epoxy, well all but the switches, lol. How do you get the CIG lighter out, ignition switch has a ring but apparently a combination to get it off. Headlight switch? Wiper switch I'm good. Choke? Last thing holding me up spraying tomorrow.

Re: Removing switches

Headlight switch has a button on the side (on the body behind the dash) Press the button and pull on the knob.

To remove the ignition, you will need the key and a paper clip. I believe you turn the key to the accessory position and insert the paper clip into the small hole next to the key.

Good Luck

The headlight rod and knob are removed by first pulling the rod to the on position and by reaching under the dash and depressing the spring- loaded button found on top of the headlight switch itself. Depressing the button allows the rod to slide out of the switch, and the bezel can now be removed.

Re: Removing switches

Not out yet. Haven't been back out to it. They will be out in the morning. The one that really stumps me is the CIG lighter. I found a set screw on the wiper switch, so that's covered, choke has a nut on it, thanks for the help on the headlight switch and ignition switch. Ready to get this thing epoxied and primed.
