side exit headers/side pipes
I'm looking for side pipes but I'm having trouble finding them online. I don't want the long section of pipes running down the whole side of the truck. I'd make it short. I'm just trying to source headers for now. A member here had a similar set up to a c3 Corvette. I don't think he's active here any more. Here's a link to his build thread, showing a picture of the headers I want. Its post 32, last picture. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...=414961&page=2
I heard Patriot used to make them, but I can't find any. links would be appreciated. Thanks - Ian truck is a 81'short bed sbc btw Last edited by hey its me; 02-18-2016 at 02:04 AM. |

Re: side exit headers/side pipes
Look for c10 fender wheel headers those might work for your needs. But you might end up having to lose your inter fenders tho.

Mooneyes sales some but smaller tube more suited for the low n slow crowd. Patriot has the corvette type also check hooker they had some one offs.

Thanks. I'm starting to think nobody makes them anymore.. sucks. All the threads I've searched on here are years old, and nobody mentioned a part number or provided any info that helps. The search goes on. |

Re: side exit headers/side pipes
Is your truck a daily driver?. I have drivin side exit exhaust and it gets annoying fast. The sound echos off everything you go by. Guard rails even echo the noise.

No, it's not a daily. It's a truck I take to the track, haul stuff with, and most importantly have fun with.

Re: side exit headers/side pipes
Those sidepipes come in different lengths I believe. I'm sure the ones that fit a Camaro wouldn't be too long. I have been eyeing them myself for my Camaro.
