Hidden hitch with factory bumper
Has anyone used a hidden hitch with a factory bumper? Besides the hitch being ugly hanging down my truck is too low for it. I would assume it would work the same as a rollpan. I may have to get a custom built "stinger".

Re: Hidden hitch with factory bumper
The 'hidden hitch' hides the hitch assembly, not the hitch receiver. I have one now on mine with a factory bumper. It doesn't look bad.
If you want one that sits completely behind the bumper, they do make roll pans with the hole cut in it. I used to run one of those before going back to the stock bumper. It was a pain in the ass with the spring loaded license plate frame.

Any pics? Maybe with the receiver in it? I would use a drop receiver flipped upside down

Re: Hidden hitch with factory bumper
Here you go. I added the 7 pin connection which I bolted to the hitch, and the links since my one trailer's hooks won't hook to the ones on the hitch. I don't keep the spare tire underneath, but if you do, you'll need to move it a little when you put the hitch on.

Re: Hidden hitch with factory bumper
I'm hoping to make it where the receiver comes out behind the license plate. I don't want it to hang down lower than the bumper at all

Re: Hidden hitch with factory bumper
with a little fab work, it should be doable. definitely need to look at the bumper brackets and hitch brackets. if nothing else, a good fab shop could make exactly what you need.

Re: Hidden hitch with factory bumper
Good thinking. I might just let a welding shop build one.
