Need 72 bucket seat bottom springs

I'm having new foam put in my bucket seats and my upholstery guy told me that my seat bottoms have several broken springs. Never thought that would be a tough part to locate, but I'm having trouble finding replacements. I've read so many different things on the internet, my eyes hurt. Are there sources for new springs or am I gonna have to find used ones? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Re: Need 72 bucket seat bottom springs

if they are the same as bench seat springs, you might just buy an inexpensive seat on craigslist and part it out.

Re: Need 72 bucket seat bottom springs

Find Grumpy Old Man, he should be able to tell you how to repair what you have.

I would imagine it comes down to "generic" seat spring material grafted into your seat with spring wires crimped together. Where you buy that stuff I don't know.

I also wonder when a spring breaks, can you just crimp it back to itself, or will it (I have always assumed) just break the next week in a different place?

Re: Need 72 bucket seat bottom springs

They are just zig zag springs. I recently lost a link that had many varieties for sale. I wish I could remember the store.

Thanks fellas. Just FYI, I did find a site that has what I needed. It's: We Sell Upholstery Supplies Online. Very big selection of many different items. Found what I was looking for here: https://www.wsusol.com/p-733-spring-...inch-each.aspx
