59 GMC SB Fender for Spare Tire

I'm trying to find a replacement fender for a 59 GMC short box with the spare tire cut out. If someone can point me in the right direction for either a new replacement of one in good condition I would appreciate it. Thanks

Here's a complete one on CL:

There's nothing up at Johnson's? There used to be a few out there. I bought my bed from a really clean '63 Forest Service truck they had. There also used to be one in Hardin by the tracks south of town but it looks like it's gone now. There's not as much of the town, either.

SVR, I am restoring a 59 and after sand blasting, both rear fender looked like Swiss cheese after the old body work was removed. I was able to order a replace for the full fender on the passenger side, but not the driver side rear fender with the spare tire cutout. So sorry, I don't have a fender to trade. Thanks

I have one off my 57, it's not perfect but it's good enough to use. No rust out holes. I'm in the Phx area, 85308. How to ship?

those fender mounted spares; you either love them or you hate them, no one ever says ''eh''
find one from canada, they were mounted on the pass side

I sent tmobile a pm and hopefully it works out. I do have a question for you. What is the difference between the fenders for a long bed and a short bed? Is the front or back section longer?

Re: 59 GMC SB Fender for Spare Tire

The wheel is mounted higher on the short bed but because of the short wheelbase it's also closer to the rear axle centerline. The indent is in a slightly different spot in the fender and there's a brace that extends through the fender as well. Long boxes have more room on the box side so the wheel is lower and doesn't occupy as much of the fender.

I dig them for sure, depending on the theme of the build of course. But I dig them big time.

Re: 59 GMC SB Fender for Spare Tire

and then we have the canuck version that is mounted on the pass side
this is the 3200, i know canadian trucks use 1300 instead of 3100, maybe this is a canadian 2300???
actually this might be a 1 ton since it has the loooooooooooooooong bed

Re: 59 GMC SB Fender for Spare Tire

I think the RH spare would be better as it's tough to see traffic with the LH side tire and the stock peep mirror.
