Re: new to the forum- my trucks
Looks like a nice collection. Also looks like there are more than trucks in the collection. Going by what you have added in the last couple of years you are going to need a bigger shop.

Welcome aboard ! Nice to see what you've done with your trucks. Awesome collection ! That had to be a great road trip in that GMC Suburban.

Re: new to the forum- my trucks
WOW how'd I miss this, what a collection you got going on..man oh man I see you have a liking for 60's CHEVY TRUCKS that's a good problem to have, after seeing your collection makes me want to work on mine...I really like the burb and the fact that you've driven it across country, you know a lot of people would be afraid to do that in an older vehicle for fear of breaking down but I say hey you can break down in something new to. I bet that was a fun trip especially when they see it has Kentucky plates on it. Looking forward to seeing the progress on your rides...10-4

Re: new to the forum- my trucks
Here are some pictures of the trucks in use! the green '65 k20 is used as my dads daily work truck towing everything from a bobcat to new projects home. the camper picture is on its first trip out to lake Cumberland about a 3 hour truck did great and towed our '56 willys jeep behind it. as soon as winter is over itll be on many more camping trips. and the pics of the suburban are from our Yellowstone/Glacier national park vacation it was an awesome trip!

Re: new to the forum- my trucks
First, welcome! Next, ..we must be kin! I say that because of your affinity for this era truck (I can't help myself either), and the fact that my earliest known family history is from KY. Horseshoe Bottom, KY that is. Now underwater about where Jamestown Marina is on Lake Cumberland. Glug glug, lol!.
Ok, so we are not that close. About a three hour drive and and one deep dive to my ancestors old hood, but hey, at least we have the same taste in vehicles, right? BTW, I almost bought a Palomino tan '62 GMC 4x4 Suburban awhile back. Probably should have hindsight tells me. It looked a lot like yours but for the knee-knocker cab. Looking forward to more posts from you. |
