Pulley quiz time !

In the process of getting my truck back together I think some of the pulleys have got mixed up with other engines. So now I need some help in determining which pulley or pulleys are wrong ! Thanks!!

Re: Pulley quiz time !

Is that an alternator? or a compressor pump?

You have a short water pump, the outer crank pulley and power steering pump should be in line and use one belt.

The inner water pump pulley groove should match the inner crank groove and also the alternator which go's on the driver side

The outer water pump pulley would match the center crank pulley which you don't have, and that would be for an air compressor unit on the passenger side.

Re: Pulley quiz time !

That is the air conditioner, I haven't got the alternator on yet. So I need a different crank and waterpump pulley? Any help with part numbers.

Thanks

Re: Pulley quiz time !

Your crankshaft pulley is for a non air truck with PS. For an air setup with the correct pully setup you need a 3 groove crank pulley. The inner groove will run the alt the middle groove will run the air cond comp and the outside groove shoule run the PS pump

The crank pulley is 2 parts, the inner is a single, you would use this also with air.

The outer pulley is single for non air or (what you need) double for air with the addition of a grove between the two you have now..

THE REASON YOU DON'T HAVE THE FACTORY a/c PULLEY IS BECAUSE YOU DON'T HAVE FACTORY a
The reason that's not a factory A/C pulley is because the truck didn't come with A/C. The aftermarket would have been made to fit a non-A/C truck. Give me the part#s off the pulleys and the application can be found
