Had my van tilt redone

last year while on vacation in FLA. I bought a tilt column that I found on the local Craigslist. turned out to be a van tilt. on this board I found fellow member 70SHORTFLEET. sent my tilt to him to be rebuilt. he shorten the shaft, painted the column and completely rebuilt the column. his workmanship is OUTSTANDING! I couldn't be happier. and to top it off, he shipped it to me in a heavy duty box with wooden block ends with a hole drilled for both end shafts.

thank you Les for a piece of art. Larry

I used Les as well. Top shelf service indeed.

Re: Had my van tilt redone

I bought a cluster from Les, it was really nice except for a small problem with the speedo. He told me to send it to him I never have even touched the truck since then but I would sure buy from him again and highly recommend him to anyone needing that type of stuff done.
When I bought the cluster from him I didn't know he was on the board so that did not figure in the deal. Top shelf guy, Great work.

Re: Had my van tilt redone

Having rebuilt my own tilt, it is much more involved than people realize. I have around $450 in mine including the tilt I purchased at a swap meet. The problem I found was locating the parts I wanted to replace. I had to source multiple vendors as I couldn't find a one stop shop for this. I would do it again but you need patience and some specialty tools. The members on the board that do this are certainly not over charging anyone.
