Electronic to mechanical speedo converter - cableX?
I want to get my speedo working again so I know I am fixing to be arrested instead of just assuming so.
I need to get my T56 (electronic speedometer output) talking to my original cable driven speedometer. Has anybody tried one of these? Hard to tell from their pictures but I wonder if it is durable enough for the application. http://www.abbott-tach.com/cablex.htm

I went with the Dakota Digital ECD-100 very sturdy unit and easy to program. Got a good price from MCB Matt on this board.

I've heard the Dakota digital deal is the way to go. I was gonna put a Cable-X box on my 68 LeMans convert[6.0 4L80E] but I heard they were "bouncy" for a lack of a better word.

Another vote for the Dakota Digital. I've installed both and I have had zero problems with the Dakota. The Cable-X has given me problems.

I've been wondering about the Dakota digital glad to hear people are having good luck I'll have to pick one up. Who has the best deal.

I have never used the Dakota electronic cable drive, but from experience with Dakota Digital I would highly recommend any of their products. I have confidence in the name and am sure you would be happy with their unit.
