Upper control arm shafts

I have 1970 c10 swb I'm currently restoring. I have come to a bump in the road because 3 different sets of upper control arm shafts seem to be a bit loose on the frame studs as if the holes were too big. Is this normal for there to be some play on this part? I believe the studs on the frame are original because I ordered some specific hardware from Lmc and it goes on the stud just fine. Can anyone shed some light?

The studs don't fit tight in the hole. A little play is normal.

C10 studs are 1/2". C20 studs are 9/16". Make sure you are getting the right shafts.

CPP's upper arms are listed for a C10, but their holes are 9/16", which pissed me off. Way too loose. So I drill them larger bushed them for 1/2" studs. Alignment wasn't a problem. So you can do that, or replace the studs with 9/16". (that is, if you actually have a problem, they may fit better than I am thinking)

I second the loose fit, but not that loose as in 9/16" holes, they probably did send you the wrong shafts....

Thanks for the help, somehow I got the ones with the 9/16" holes 3 times when I asked for c10 parts. Lmc told me they were looking into it and they'd call me back
