Which Vintage Air kit for my 67? (pics)
Ok so probably a very simple question and I am pretty sure I have a factory air cab but I have a buddy that is adamant that I have a heater only truck and that they are different?! So just so I dont order the wrong Vintage Air system I come to you guys and your vast knowledge.
I plan on replacing everything with the surefit system. BTW there are no ac vents in the dash...im thinking the part #941171 which is the 1967-72 Chevy Truck Complete Kit (non-factory air with factory air control panel) Vintage Air kits 944170 1967-72 Chevy Truck Complete Kit (factory air truck) 941170 1967-72 Chevy Truck Complete Kit (non-factory air) 941171 1967-72 Chevy Truck Complete Kit (non-factory air with factory air control panel) Thank you in advance. Based on the fact that you have no AC vents in your dash, you have the heater only control panel, and heater only heater core box in the engine compartment, I would say you have a heater only cab. Its possible that there used to be an old aftermarket under the dash AC unit judging by the leftover condenser hanging from your core support, and what appears to be an AC hose running through the firewall near the inside heater box.

Ok so he was right. He said I needed the
#941170 1967-72 Chevy Truck Complete Kit (non-factory air) But with all the random lines ran I had to make sure. I emailed "Vintage Air" a little earlier with the pictures. I was going to order tonight but I will probably just wait till I get a response from them just in case. This truck is now my daily driver and I dont want to get half way through an install and find out I need to send it back for different parts. Thank you. |

Dont order direct from Vintage Air ,you will get a better price from one of their vendors ,several of which are members here on this site . NsaneHotrodz in Tenn is one among many others .Nsane just installed mine and he can tell you what extra stuff you need that wont be included such as pulleys .You can also use your old heater controls unless you want new ones .
