Rear window seal question
When I took out the rear I had a lot of rubber looking pieces fall on the ground. After looking closer it was some kind of sealer that had hardened and fallen apart once I finally got the seal out. My question is when I go to put the window and seal back in do I need to get some kind of sealer? Also, should I reuse my rubber seal or buy a new one? I will be using the original trim. Thanks

Re: Rear window seal question
I got a new Precision brand seal - they are the only ones to use. While you've got the window out, you should put a new seal in. You can get them from GMCPauls or LaidbackCreations as well as some other vendors on here. You won't need any sealer, but you can use spray glass cleaner as a lube to help the seal slide. I used a thin rope like paracord to pop the seal over the pinch weld inside the cab.
Here's a good video of the front glass to help out - https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=SOU_0HpS7To |
