F-Body 5 Speed?

anyone know anything about these trannies? i can pick up an immaculate one out of a wrecked Firebird with low miles for $100. my original plan was for a 6 speed for my 84, but i can't hardly pass up a deal like this.

Yes you can, and should. Its a T5 tranny. GM never offered anything bigger then a 305 v8 with these trannies because of how weak they are. If a stock 350 is going to break it, imagine a built motor.

i thought i'd read that this tranny was used in the older V8 Camaros, and i've never heard anything good about them. would it be worth buying to sell it on ebay or something?

Do a search on Ebay and see what they are selling for. Remember shipping a tranny is going to be expensive. Are people willing to pay the price of shipping? Check some auction first...
