Reminds me of some of the "NOS" marker lenses you find on Ebay. Even has the correct part number(s). Really, they look pretty nice.

Hmmmm , how to create jobs in America, maybe one of these "brilliant" candidates can help us. I can not believe all the foreign cars on the road, I don't care were their made still foreign, ewww what happen to NASCAR , hard to watch but, I guess money talks no matter the cost --- pride??? Yes I know my 06 Chevy truck has foreign parts but not at my will , I try as with everything else I buy. Let there be no mistake I demand quality but if I'm going to pay for something that breaks at least let it be made here and I can move on to the next U.S.A. competitor who makes good and the bad will go.

Not necessarily. It probably is an exact mold, but I believe an NOS has some tint to it this one doesn't seem to have.

Problem is US built is generally not practical. They're heavy on gadgets and low on quality. Other than my Chevy, the make-up of the driveway is Toyota. My son has abused his $3600 1997 Camry, but it's had just one real problem in six years, cost $400. It has 130K on it. My 2005 Tundra is worth 50-55% what I paid for it new. Only one repair, cost $100. My wife's 2011 Corolla S. No problems. That car hasn't held its value like the Tundra. It's worth just 45% what I paid for it. Personally, I never liked it to begin with. My wife wanted it. Tell you what though, the turn ratio and especially brakes are unmatched. That car stops on a dime.

My other son had an 89 4-Runner with 80K miles before it was stolen....2011 was NOT a good year. I could write 8-10 country songs, and my son could write another 4-5. You wouldn't believe it.

Doesn't the US export goods to other countries? Kinda ridiculous to expect another country to buy goods from the US if the US won't but goods from other countries.

It might be a GM Licensed product. Some of those are made in China I think.

Well, it is in a GM bag. I'm sure it's a foreign contract. Like I said though, appears to be clear, while an "NOS" is tinted. That or they yellowed with age, but I doubt it.

I buy American made cars and trucks. We made the mistake of buying a new Honda Accord in 2005. What a lousy...noisy POS. You know what bothered me the most about it was the fact I was embarrassed to be seen in it knowing our ancestors fought for our freedom. It was the one and only foreign made car I'll ever own.

The Chevy and GM cars and trucks we own are very high quality. We have several pickups in the 200k to 400k mileage range still running their original motors and running gear without any repairs.

On our classic car and truck rebuilds I try to use NOS parts because of the quality. In the restoration world I've always said my customers and/or I would gladly pay more for an American made higher quality part. Remember it might just be your own job you're saving when you buy American.
