Re: 1972 Heat is always on!
For a cleaner look just get a heater control valve for an early Bronco (66-77) and install a choke cable control and voila! Perfect fix. Glad this was resurrected, I have a couple of spares from my Bronco stash and will install one in my K10....

No more so than Chinese knock-off parts is my way of looking at it! This probably is anyways so look at it that way....

No kidding, many parts so far made in Taiwan too. This valve made in Italy.

Re: 1972 Heat is always on!
That explains the cut off valve I see on so many heater hoses!
I like ball valves....I am slowly replacing every valve in my house with one. I have my heater core out right now, when it goes back in both hoses will have a ball valve. Thanks guys! |

Re: 1972 Heat is always on!
Why not install a vacuum valve like the AC trucks have and throw a simple vacuum switch someplace in the cab? Turn the heat on and off with the flip of a switch? May have to run a few feet of vacuum hose but other than that should be simple.
