Yeah, Smooth-On has lots of you tube videos showing how to make molds, casting plastics, rubber products, etc... A few years ago, I made a set of speaker housings for C4 Corvette's for aftermarket speakers to replace the Bose units that were failing. I had spent probably six months making the actual shape of the housings for the front kick panels, using my '94 Vette for the test mule.
The actual mold making process was very quick, maybe a day or two. the rear speaker housings were pretty easy, I basically took the factory frame of the Bose rear speaker, cut off all the bosses except the ones the grill screwed onto, then made that piece flat, made a mold of that and it was done. Too bad I lost all my mold making pieces in a garage fire a few years ago, luckily, no one was hurt, and my house only had a small amount of damage. I still get people asking me if I make them, wish I could help, but the wife won't have it, I spent a small fortune developing that setup, she won't go for it again.... all in all, it was a very easy process once you get everything you need to make the molds, the rubber is the easy part, making the mold halves is the hard part...but watch the smooth on videos, it's not that difficult at all....
