1959 3100 shock help

Hey Guys, I have a stock '59 3100 fleetside. I want to replace the front and rear shocks. Took off front shocks and the number is #39047. On Summits website, that equates to a Gabriel shock (#82047) for a 1957 & 1958.....
NOT a 1959? Why would that be?

For the rear shocks I have #739060 on the shock.....Googled this number and can't find anything. I was looking for front and rear shock options. Any help with part numbers would be great. Why are the rear shock numbers different than the front?

Brothers has stock replacement shocks, BUT, they are $50 each. Way too pricey for me.
What are you guys using for stock replacement shocks front and rear?

No real help here, my shocks are for a lifted truck. But I found the attached at Gabriels site. Determine the end configuration, measure the static length at ride height, then the minimum and maximum from the ones you removed. Charts should have one that will work. Good counter man at a real parts store could probably find one based on the existing too.

Most online parts catalogs end 3100 in 1958 and use 3A for 59 so it shows for 59 as a separate truck from 58 when its not. The shocks are the same

but will fit 1959

Thank you for the explanation regarding the 58 & 59 model year. I'll be going to my "old school" guy at the local parts store tomorrow morning.

Had to edit after reading DW's post.

Hard to fight with Rock Auto's prices and from experience their service is stellar.

This is what O'Reillys shows and you should be able to cross the Monroe numbers with any shock brand.

Otherwise it's get the extended and compressed lengths and end design and go to the shock catalogs page with the dimensions for shocks

I'm the 1st to admit, I'm a computer dummy. I went to the website you posted for me (orielys), seen it already had the 59 truck for shocks, screen asked me my zip code (49203), I hit submit and then nothing? Can't find a price? Sorry, but can you help me out 1 more time?

Probably won't use rockauto....I've never purchased anything on line. Yea, I'm old school.

You may have to jump though the hoops to get a store in or close to your zip listed as your "store" Then list the truck in My vehicles to get the price.
I use the page a lot just to find if something fits and compare prices with other sources. You can also hit "compatibility" on the item page and find what else it fits. That works good if you plan on doing some pick a part parts chasing as you then have a list of potential donors.

Another source to check if you don't already do so is Amazon. I pay for my Amazon prime just in the savings on shipping on hard parts for my rigs let alone the savings on a lot of parts. Another thing from them especially on chassis parts is if it shows a "used" one coming from their warehouse it usually means that the box or packaging it is in is damaged and you can save big bucks because the box you are going to throw away is damaged and they are going to ship it in their box anyhow. I'm tight with my money I spend on my hobby stuff and if I can save a few bucks because it comes in a wrinkled box all the more the better as long as it's a top rate part.

Hey, thanks anyway. My small town parts store guy helped me out by cross referencing the part numbers. I got a set of Gabriel's.....I don't have the part numbers right now. Will post at a later date.
