Does someone make a tuner or chip for a 2008?

A friend just bought 2008 1/2 ton 4 door pickup. 4.8 engine, 2WD. 20,000 original miles. runs good, but gets 17 MPG.

Just wonder if the aftermarket makes a tuner or chip upgrade to change engine parameters, for more power and/or better MPG?

I see all kinds of things done to LS engines, very seldom see someine do something minor to a stock engine.

I work on late model stuff that's stock. Of course most of the work is changing oil, tires and batteries, since they're Chevrolets
Thanks in advance!

I bought a Diablo Intune for my 07 NBS, it comes with a Eco, 87 and 92 tune, But then allows you do set your own stuff. Also you can have the truck tuned by a pro and save that tune in the programmer. With the intune, you can drive on the stock tune and record it, and send it to some pros and they can read it and adjust the tune to your driving habits.

There are plenty of perormance chips and tuners available in the market for Chevy. You can see some chips and tuners from different brands on this Chevy truck spare parts website https://www.bcdiesel.ca/en/performan...nomy-1-1-1-1-1. The thing is, you should know which one to choose. You can use them to increase your power.
