WTB-1972 ¾ 4wd jack, handle, lug wrench

Hey guys, I am looking for a correct jack for my ¾ ton 4wd. I've seen a few ½ ton versions but no ¾ ton. Let me know what you have and shipping to 40121.

Thanks

Re: WTB-1972 ¾ 4wd jack, handle, lug wrench

The picture of the jack in the truck is my 1972 original jack. The other picture is from a board member who posted pictures awhile ago. Slight differences in the support brace and possibly the size/diameter. I've never held both in my hands at the same time to say diameter, height, etc. To me, the ¾ ton looks wider at the base, but that could just be the picture.
IF someone has one they know came out of a ¾ ton or matches my original jack; I am interested in buying it.

Hope this helps.

Re: WTB-1972 ¾ 4wd jack, handle, lug wrench

I have one out of a 72. Jack, handle, lug wrench and the remains of the bag. I took it out of the 3/4 ton myself. Not sure what the differences are. I will get pictures later tonight.

Re: WTB-1972 ¾ 4wd jack, handle, lug wrench

The end of the lug wrench will have a little pitting, but could be worked out with a few coats of primer. Goes in and out.

$90 shipped. I figure $22 to ship because of the length/weight.

According to GM the jack and handle are the same. The lug wrench is different.

I have them for sale.

See my post http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=569928

Thanks

Roger, did you end up finding a ¾ ton lug wrench?

Still looking. For some reason I've had a hard time finding one.

Jack difference question: WTB-1972 ¾ 4wd jack, handle, lug wrench

Resurrecting an old thread.

I recently pulled this jack assm and tool bag from a June built 1972 3/4 ton GMC 2WD.

I am thinking there may have been a changeover at some point as the Jack out of the 72 looks like the one in the truck pictures.

I want to keep it for now. Just trying to understand when the changeover happened.

Ok let me know if you decide to sell. I've never seen the difference before.
I used my 46 year old 1/2 ton jack to lift my 72 RV the other day cuz my harbor freight hydraulic floor jack couldn't do it. The 1/2 ton jack did well.

Scott, I have a couple other jacks and handles that would be correct for 1/2 ton and 3/4 ton. No bags though. The larger jack I believe was a late changeover for 3/4 tons.
