tailgate band
OK NOS is out of the question. What other ideas for a tailgate band GMC do you guys have?
Mine has small dents that keep it from looking 100 or even 80 percent. ANyone worked it and then polished it? Any pics of a panel super polished????? How about painte din middle and polished on outside? |

Re: tailgate band
Any pics of the polished one? I was not sure if I would like it all polished. I have thought about a Jimmy band as those are easier to find but then have to move tailgate handle.

Re: tailgate band
I have been repairing one that got damaged on my truck, and they are a pain to work on. Its hard to get at a lot of the dings because of the way the thing is made. If you could take the entire thing apart it would be pretty easy to know the dings out and polish it. I wish I knew how to repair the brushed stainless look anodizing, because that looks much better than just polished aluminum, IMHO.
