I think the problem is your electric fans.
I really hope not. It was getting up to 210* even while cruising at 45mph here in the mountains where it's 55* out today. I'd like to think that means radiator and not fans is the issue. It's a pretty old radiator and definetly sat long enough during the build to get totally dry inside, so whatever buildup was in there got hard.

I'm going to get a overflow tank tomarrow and put that on in place of the hose that just goes to the ground and spews when it gets hot. Then I'll burp it the right way with coolant in the overflow tank and see if I can't get some air out of the engine.

If the radiator was doing the job before it's probably fine. Do you have the old fan you can reinstall?

No I chucked it with the broken shroud.
