60-66 steering wheels

As a parchment interior owner, looking for alternative wheel. Old school, not new. And not a fan of the comfort grip. 60 to 66 truck wheel is a nice wheel to me. Anybody run one, have pics, and how does it mate to column size wise? Horn?

As far as switching the wheel it will fit most any year. The horn works the same way and should fit nicely.

Re: 60-66 steering wheels

Thanks Jurassic. Would like to see a picture or hear from anybody running one. They seem to hold up better and come in a color that looks like a pretty close match to sandalwood.

Re: 60-66 steering wheels

Only 69-72 wheels are molded in color. Even the reproductions are painted. So, don't let the color of the wheel deter you. Many, including myself, use GM car steering wheels. I have a '67 Impala wheel for my '67 GMC. It's easy for Chevy guys, since there are so many Chevy car steering wheels. I think a bowtie on a GMC is tacky. I go with BOPs, Chevys that don't say that on them or have a bowtie, or do a custom GMC center

Re: 60-66 steering wheels

Thanks for the reminder Special-K. I need to stay focused. I have a wheel in the works from the board with some cracks that need to be repaired and I will try my hand at painting one. Sometimes I want a quick solution. Weather has been nice here and I want to get her out and drive.

I'm using an earlier wheel on my '67 Panel Truck. I looked on my computer and I guess I didn't take a picture of the dash after I finished it. I will get a picture of it in the morning....
