A Couple Torque Specs Please

I have searched and there are a couple torque specs I can find for the front suspension/steering on my 61.

Here is what I have:

Pitman to idler 60 ft/lb
Tie rods 35 ft/lb
Tie rod adjuster nuts 25 ft/lb
Upper ball joint 50 ft/lb
Lower Ball Joint 90 ft/lb

But what about the small bolts the bolt the ball joints to the control arms on top and bottom? And do the numbers above seem accurate?

Thanks!

Re: A Couple Torque Specs Please

They look ok. I never have put a torque wrench on any of that. Pulled them up good and then tightened till the cotter pin would go in. The small bolts on the upper ball joint I just put a dab of loctite on and pull them up till they feel right. Problem with giving you a number to pull them to is not knowing the grade of the bolt.

Re: A Couple Torque Specs Please

According to the 1961 shop manual supplement on the lubrication points page they refer to them as ball joints, on the Front Suspension repair section and the Torque Specifications page they refer to them as Spherical Joints.

Spherical Joint Service Bolt Nuts
Series 10-20 Upper...13-19
Series 30-40 Upper...18-24
7/16"-20...40-55
1/2"-13...65-85
