Susp. Interchangeability?
Will a set of 88-98 3" drop leaves fit a 73-87? I know the years are different but I figured I might get lucky by asking, woudl they work at all or not? I know where to get some cheap so I thought I'd get more info.
Thanks, - Ben

nope, they're different lengths. use a drop shackle and remove leaves if you only want 3" of drop.

Only thing is I need new leaf springs, I might just remove some though if its not that hard, I'll see. BTW, would I have to remove the same ones on each side?

True, but they're also $299, and I was gonna be able to pick up a pair of these for $60.

OK Prerunner, If the broken leafs are the same ones, then how would I go about taking the broken ones out and then putting the springs back together(besides removing the leaves from the chassis)? What parts would I need?

Bens, i am not going to blow smoke up your butt, i have never done it. i know there are clamp type things that hold the leaves from spinning that you will have to remove. you will have to seperate the axle and leaves.... you might try post this in the general discussion, if you dont get a response here.... OR you might try post over at Coloradok5.com they are always taking things apart and stuff.. might ask them about the newer leaves fitting..... just some ideas..
