anyone know how hard it would be to put a hemi in a 67, my dad has one in his garage, thought about getting off him

Anything is possible with a little amgination, just keep in mind Prices on fuel are going up not down and hope there are several gas stations enroute to wherever your headin.. JMO

Just get some engine mounts made/altered to hold it in place, alter driveshaft to fit, wire it all in, then put your truck back together

Sounds easy doesn't it?!

Keep in mind that the Hemi isn't called " Elephant " for no apparent reason. Valve covers the size of canoes....etc. If your gonna start cutting make sure you leave room for things... like headers for example. I'd love to see it finished though... being that I love these trucks and old muscle cars.

In my circle of friends years back, a 1968 Plymouth GTX Hemi made the rounds with a few of us. Bone stock, 426 ci, 426 HP, standard shift, that car would deliever 17 mpg highway if you kept your foot out of it. Go for it!

Guessing, but that looks to be either a very modified 55 Nomad or a Buick Olds Pontiac 2 door wagon of the same year?

Or a Studebaker wagon?

thats a studebaker side panel. looks like it could be a 53,54,55 champion. or 55,56,57,58, hawk. or maybe evan 55, president. there were some others with that stile of body also. i have never seen one in a wagon form. most of them were sedans, coupes or ugly hartop style. is that a custom if its not its gaught to be rare. my grand father colected studs. one of which was sold a few years back and was placed in a movie. my brother drives a 63 avanti stage II super charged. that hemi looks great love to see it when its done. just a little info those old 289 stud v-8s were heavy and for good reason. they were built with very high nickle content and very thick walls around bores. the stage III avanti and some of the datonas with factory super chager and factory repacement pulleys produced over 500hp. thats all factory stuff back in 1963-5. not many people evan know that stud was one of the muscle car kings. i know of a guy runnig one of these 289 avantis with twin tubos pushing over 1200hp block is strong. anyway got carried away. let me see pictures when done that thing looks awsome.
