dying cloth seats q's
hey guys has anyone ever dyed a cloth seat? there is a blue 60/40 split in the paper for 90 bucks and says excellent condition, i want grey or black though for my truck, i know i couldnt dye it grey from blue but would it be possible to go black? if anyone has done it could you tell me if its worth it or not...i dont want to buy this seat if i cant change the color

Does'nt sound like a good idea, I would think it might rub off on your clothes.

Depends on the fabric, some man-made fabrics require complex acid based dyes to colour them and some can be done in a bowl with simple water cold dyes, no way of telling without trying it, but I would say it is unlikely to be easy to get a good consistent result. (I used to live with a textile designer) You could always get a set of new seat covers for them though.
